Desert Wind, Sun, and Dust in Ehrenberg, Arizona

Golden sky at sunset
The sky was golden as the sun set today

The desert can be a land of changes, like weather that is 70 and sunny one day before a wind storm ahead of a cooling temperatures the next.

Today was still warm, but we have been buffeted by 30+ mph winds. The trailer has literally been rocking all day long. It is not an exaggeration to say that I was feeling a bit “sea sick” a few times, even though I am landlocked in the desert.

The sun has also been obscured by clouds at times today, and dust storms have been visible on the horizon on several occasions. While we did not experience a bad dust cloud here in this camp, we were pelted by blowing sand throughout the afternoon.

Alas, there was this beautiful view of the sun as it was nearly setting. It lasted only seconds, but I was able to step inside and grab the camera for a quick photo before the moment passed.
